About Me

I’ve been designing spaces, events and products ever since I can remember. Even in my room as a little girl I had to have everything just in its proper place. Looking back I now realize I was styling every little moment, from my bedside table to the shelves in my closet. I was attracted to and fascinated by color and texture, often collecting items just because I loved the way they felt in my hands.

Over the years this has blossomed into a career in journalism and graphic design (creating experiences through language and visuals), working at Better Homes and Gardens magazine with some amazingly talented people, designing books in partnership with the Smithsonian and publishers like Harper Collins, and even having my work featured on NBC’s Today Show.

One reason I’m beginning this new experience of blogging is because I’m currently going back to my entrepreneurial roots and am involved in building a start-up in Oregon. While this takes a great deal of my time – I’m longing for the days spent amongst beautiful fabrics, paint swatches and quirky objects being moved a quarter-inch this way, then that, during photo shoots. Here’s to having the best of both! Enjoy and look forward to your feedback as this all takes shape.
